Transfer tool and Ghim transfer platform

The Transfer tool is an unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of Qassim University. Its purpose is to help students transfer their cumulative GPA and campus information to the Ghim transfer platform for ranking and application features.

Information Read by the Tool
When used on the student portal, the tool reads the academic transcript page locally in your browser to extract:

Cumulative GPA.
Campus name, if available on the page.
The tool does not collect course names, detailed grades, student ID numbers, portal passwords, or other transcript details.

When Information Is Sent
Information is not sent merely by opening the student portal. When you click the Transfer button, the tool opens the Ghim transfer platform and passes the extracted GPA and campus information to that page.

The information is handled by the browser first and remains temporary until you sign in or create an account and link the data to your account.

Local Storage
The Ghim transfer platform may temporarily store transferred information in your browser using localStorage so it is not lost when the page is refreshed. This may include GPA, campus, and the selected gender when needed.

After you sign in or create an account and link the data, the temporary transfer data is removed from localStorage.

Information Stored on the Server
When you create an account, sign in, or link transferred data, the platform may store the information required to provide the service, including:

Username or Telegram login information, if you use Telegram sign-in.
Password hash, if you create an account with a password.
GPA, gender, and internal membership number.
Transfer application request, if you submit one.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to show eligible majors, calculate ranking by GPA, save your request, and display applicant counts and rankings on the platform.

Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with marketing parties. The page may use necessary third-party services such as Telegram sign-in, fonts, or icon libraries.

Data Deletion
You can withdraw your transfer request from within the platform. For account or data deletion requests, contact us by email.
