SiteGuard is a parental control browser extension designed to help parents protect their children from unwanted
web content. It gives you full control over which websites your child can and cannot access, with tamper-proof
password protection to keep settings secure.

🔒 Core Features

• Dual Modes — Choose between Blacklist mode (block specific sites, allow everything else) or Whitelist mode
(only allow specific sites, block everything else). Swap modes anytime with password verification.

• Password Protection — All critical actions (disabling protection, switching modes, removing domains, clearing
logs) require password authentication. This prevents children from bypassing the restrictions, even if they
have access to the browser.

• Temporary Access — Grant time-limited access to blocked sites with a flexible countdown timer. Choose preset
durations (5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes) or enter a custom duration up to 24 hours. The countdown is displayed in a
sidebar so your child always knows how much time they have left.

• Access Logs — Every blocked request is logged with the domain, full URL, timestamp, and the blocking mode
that triggered it. These logs are password-protected, so only you can view or clear them.

• Subdomain Matching — Adding a root domain (e.g. youtube.com) automatically covers all its subdomains
(www.youtube.com, m.youtube.com, etc.). No need to add each variant individually.

• Multi-Language Support — Built-in support for English and Chinese (Simplified), with automatic language
detection based on your browser settings.

• Theme Support — Choose between Light, Dark, or follow your system theme automatically.

SiteGuard collects absolutely no data. All settings, password hashes, and access logs are stored locally on
your device. Nothing is ever sent anywhere. The extension works fully offline — no external servers, no
