On top of blocking ads, and popups, the default Ublock also blocks sites that are known to be malicious or sites that impersonate others. On top of this, it seems to have found a way to get around adblocker detectors. It doesn't try to sell you some uBlock Origin+ or uBlock Origin Pro, which is good. I think the creator and developers of this has done a great job at making this browser extension and updating it.
