Many highlighter extensions ask for broad permission to "read and change all your data on all websites." ZetaMarker doesn't.

ZetaMarker uses a limited-permission approach: it only runs on pages where you turn it on — with a click on the extension icon or a keyboard shortcut. It does not watch every tab you open, and it does not annotate sites you haven't activated.

That means banking, email, healthcare portals, and work apps stay private by default. You invite ZetaMarker in only when you're ready to read and annotate.
