Privacy Policy — Zima Dock

Zima Dock (“the extension”) is a Firefox browser extension that helps you connect to ZimaOS and CasaOS home servers that you control. This policy explains what data is handled and what is not.

This project is an independent client and is not an official product of IceWhale or CasaOS.

Summary
• We do not run analytics, ads, or tracking.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• Credentials and tokens stay in your browser and are sent only to servers you configure.
• The extension authors do not operate a cloud backend that receives your passwords or app lists.

Stored on your device (Firefox storage.local)
When you add a node, the extension may store: server address; username and password (for re-login); access and refresh tokens; device metadata; app list cache, favorites, and UI preferences (e.g. theme). This data never leaves your browser storage except when contacting a host you added.

Sent over the network
Requests go only to host addresses you enter (login, token refresh, health checks, app grid/modules, start/stop, icons). Traffic uses your browser’s network path (LAN/VPN). Nothing is uploaded to the developers’ servers.

Firefox data declaration
The manifest declares authentication information (authenticationInfo) because the extension handles login credentials and tokens for your servers—not because the developers collect that data.

What we do not collect
No browsing history for our purposes; no contacts/payments/location for us; no crash/usage analytics to us; no marketing profiles. Mozilla may collect add-on install stats under Mozilla’s own privacy policy.

Permissions
storage — save nodes/tokens/settings; tabs — open dashboards/apps; host access — call APIs on addresses you configure.

Your choices
Remove nodes in the extension, or uninstall the add-on to clear its storage (per Firefox). Only add hosts you trust.
