Any eBook Reader & Annotater does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data or usage information.

All file processing occurs entirely on the user's local device within the browser. No data is sent to any server or third party. No account or registration is required. No cookies are set. No analytics or tracking of any kind is used.

The extension requests the following browser permissions solely for local functionality:
• activeTab and tabs — to capture a screenshot of the visible tab when the user activates the Snapshot tool
• storage — to temporarily persist UI state (sidebar open/closed) during the session
• downloads — to save exported notes files (DOCX, PDF, TXT) to the user's local filesystem
• <all_urls> — required for PDF.js and Foliate rendering libraries to resolve blob: and data: resource URLs locally; no external network requests are made
