BABAV Finder — Privacy Policy

BABAV Finder is a browser add-on that finds business contact details (email addresses, phone numbers and social profile links) on web pages and saves the ones you choose as leads in your own BABAV account. It is made by BABAV (babav.co).

WHEN IT READS A PAGE
• By default, Finder reads a page only when you open its popup or press a button in it.
• Background scanning ("Auto-scan every page") is OFF when you install it. It turns on only if you say yes to a consent card that explains what is collected, and you can switch it off any time in Settings.
• It never reads banking, financial, health, government or webmail pages, BABAV's own site, or local/development sites. These exclusions are built in and cannot be switched off.

WHAT IT SENDS AND WHERE
• When you save leads: the contact details you chose and the address of the page they came from.
• Only if you turned on background scanning: the address, title and text of the pages you visit, so contacts can be found for you.
• Everything is sent with your BABAV connection key, over an encrypted connection, to your own BABAV account only. Nothing is sent to advertisers, data brokers or analytics networks.

WHAT IT STORES IN YOUR BROWSER
Your connection key and brand name, your settings and your consent answer, and a short list of recently scanned pages (the latest 800) so the same page isn't scanned twice. This list stays in your browser and is cleared when the add-on updates.

WHAT IT NEVER DOES
• It never sells or shares your data, and never shows ads or changes the pages you visit.
• BABAV never texts a phone number Finder found; numbers are saved as contact details only.
• It does not train AI models on the contacts you capture.

YOUR CHOICES
Turn background scanning off in Settings, choose which contacts to save, or remove the add-on at any time. Leads you saved live in your BABAV account, where you can export or delete them; deleting your BABAV account deletes everything (see babav.co/data-deletion).
