After extensively testing dozens of search engines and excluding most "popular" surveillance engines (e.g., Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and others), I rank Brave as among the top five. The top five also includes: MetaGer, Mojeek, Qwant, and SwissCows.

After a betrayal of DuckDuckGo I started to search another completely private & without a censorship search engine when I stumbled upon this gem.

Does what it says but you have to keep it installed. It's a FF issue. You can also manually add Brave search by going to search.brave.com, then right-clicking on the address, then choosing "add Brave search".

Does what it says with no malicious behavior. I'm a software engineer and cybersecurity consultant. Personally downloaded and reviewed the source code then tested in browser. Works perfect and is safe! Literally just adds a search provider using the extension manifest, doesn't have scripts or anything else.
