5-9-25: Most of their "free" IPs are blocked by popular sites-they need to change their ips/servers. Functionality is good but if their blocked useless. Free servers are too slow.

the most reliable free vpn available. Unfortunately like only 4 free IPs and many are blocked by websites such that the vpn is useless. Also quite slow, but at least you don't waste your time trying to connect. They need to add more free servers and stop sites from blocking them.
1-29-24: Long time follower of "free" vpn addons, I thought I knew them all. Browsec used to be the best of the worst, but has fallen back to 2nd place to a free vpn with 2-3 times the speed, much easier connections and much easier to operate. Browsec is not hijacking users browsers to force feed them the BS ads. Very annoying ad popups in the middle of doing something else. Are you hackers browsec admins? Still pretty slow but old reliable. In third place is adguard vpn which only works about 25% of the time and the admins seem to have no idea how to operate it. Serviers frequent offline and unavailable. Can't connect, cant remember account settings, a total amateur operation. So we have vpn x at 4 stars, brosec at 2 stars and adguard at 0-1 start. That's the current lineup. Remember if they can't run it well in free mode, what makes you think it will be any better if you pay them?
1-5-24: Still getting and occasional browser hijack to one of their ads, but no too bad. The main advantage to browsec is that it's stable, easy to use and reliable. Unlike adguard which is totally unreliable and only works about 25% of the time. Now adguard is sending viruses to new registrants caught by my browser filters. Not good. Maybe that's why they do not appear here. Browsec on the other hand has nothing to hide. Although their free option only has like 5 servers and is somewhat slow, it's reliable and works.
11-7-23: Browsec is starting to force ads on your vpn connection/wout your permission. Also several sites are blocking browsec vpn now for abuse. Still very limited vpn ips for free. They are stable and ulike adguard they are not a pain in the butt to use.
Slow and stingy with free vpn ips. cannot keep on and off setting, d/c wout warning.

Подтверждаю (комментарий ниже)... что дополнение стало открывать дополнительную рекламную вкладку с принуждением к покупке Premium версии... используется оно или нет. Плюс значительное замедления трафика за последнее время в новых версиях, чего не скажешь о прошлых выпущенных в конце 2020 и начале 2021 года в них открывается всё значительно быстрее.
И что самое интересное это то что до этого уже было подобное, то есть пользователи высказывали свое не довольство, и тогда вы ввели в обновлении параметр "Don't show promo offers" (Не показывать промо-предложения) и это работало.
А где-то неделю назад может чуть меньше дополнение снова вдруг стало открывать рекламную вкладку с включенным в настройках "Don't show promo offers" и не активным Browsec.
И вы заверяете что вкладка открывается всего 1 раз, хотя лично у меня при включённом параметре "Don't show promo offers" предложение отключалось раз и навсегда, а теперь по несколько раз открывается.
Так же не помог и откат на прошлые версии, а это значит что каким то образом вы влияете на это через приложение, так как это стало происходить и в другом "PC" даже в не обновлённой более старой версии дополнения "Browsec VPN 3.27.3" (специально не обновляю, так как в ней трафик работает без особого замедления), повторюсь раньше такого не было.
А тут вдруг в двух компьютерах при активном "Не показывать промо-предложения" в новой и старой не обновлённой версии приложения "Browsec VPN".

Решил заблокировать Adguardom в правилах, но полностью не удалось... кстати в момент написания комментария открылась снова.
То есть попытался открыться в таком варианте "Попытка соединения не удалась"...

Что ж думаю придётся переходить на альтернативу если будет продолжаться подобное, но, а сейчас просто отключил в дополнениях браузера.

Для обхода блокировок с целью чтения статей - идеален, для остального же нужен премиум. Пыталась оплатить российской картой visa - не работает. Аддон хороший, но без премиума функционал крайне ограничен, и без возможности приобрести его в РФ он просто теряет всякий смысл...

so many effing 'free' vpns that show locations, but after you download you can only select like 3 locations.

First time is free. After restart you'll have to deal with "buy me" popup for the rest of your life. The popup is visible even when vpn is disabled.

Slows downloading a lot. Cuts you off fast unless you purchase their premium version. With free version so slow I declined.

Soy de Argentina, y funciona muy lento y deja de funcionar en algunas ocaciones. Te da vpn para todo el navegador incluso si estas en ventanas privadas, seria mas optimo que sea solo para la pestaña actual. No me sirvio para nada!
