CarbonGuru geliştiren: CarbonGuru

CarbonGuru.io brings product carbon footprinting and automated offsetting together as a service for the first time.

See the carbon footprint. Offset the climate impact. Affordably — effortlessly.

CarbonGuru is one service for product-specific carbon footprints and automatic offsetting — in your browser, your inbox, your files, your AI agents, and your own online store. This extension is the fastest way in: measure anything you see while you shop, read, or work, then offset it in one step. The same account carries everything you do here to the rest of the service.

WHO IT'S FOR

Personal — everyday life and work: see what the things you buy actually cost the climate, and act on it in seconds.
Business — operations, marketing, finance, purchasing, and supply chain: turn spending, transaction, and vendor data into footprints and offset at any scale.
Commerce — brands, retailers, marketplaces, and B2B sellers: put footprints on your own product pages and offset your customers' orders automatically.

WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES

• Click the CarbonGuru button — or select text — on any website to footprint products and services, catalogs and shopping carts, orders and receipts, and Gmail or webmail messages.
• Every result shows kg CO₂e, a climate-impact cost in dollars, relatable comparisons, and the method behind the number.
• Offset or fund carbon removal right there, in one step; the credit is purchased and retired for you and the certificate is yours.
• Share any footprint or offset as a public page with its own link and preview card.
• Analyses keep running after you close the popup and land in the tile when they finish — including while the browser sleeps.
• Everything you analyze is saved to My Carbon Footprints in your account, so it is there on every other surface.
• The extension acts only when you ask it to. It never watches your browsing. (See WHAT WE COLLECT.)

HOW IT WORKS

1. See the footprint — wherever you are
Click the CarbonGuru button — or select text — on any website. Prefer another surface? Paste product information, analyze URLs, or upload documents from the CarbonGuru console; generate footprints by email; or connect your AI agent — Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible agent — for customized, automated analysis.
2. Understand the impact
AI identifies what you bought, then Environmentally-Extended Input-Output (EIO) analysis calculates the footprint across the full lifecycle — raw materials, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and delivery. Every estimate is the cumulative footprint up to the point the item is in your hands, reported in kg CO₂e — the internationally recognized measure — alongside a real-world climate-impact cost in dollars and relatable comparisons that make the number meaningful without expertise. Works everywhere, in nearly 120 languages, with detailed economic and environmental models for over 140 countries.
3. Act right where you are — in one step
Every result comes with vetted offsets and removals you can fund immediately — the credit is purchased and retired for you automatically. Offset one product, a full cart, or a month of purchases; quantities scale from a single item under 1 kg CO₂e to bulk per-tonne actions. Offsetting costs pennies per kilogram — usually a few percent of what you paid — and for a little more you can go net-positive by funding removals.

WHAT THE CARBONGURU SERVICE DOES

• Footprints for product pages, shopping carts, wishlists, orders, and receipts — before or after you buy
• Text-selection analysis: select text on any page and get a carbon footprint for exactly that
• Gmail and webmail message analysis turns emailed receipts, invoices, and orders into action; Gmail auto-scan footprints new receipts without you opening them (paid plans; forwarded and pasted receipts are free)
• One-step verified offsetting and carbon removal with automatic credit retirement and a certificate for every purchase
• Personal and global dashboards track your footprints and actions over time, by source and category
• Publish and share any footprint or offset as a public page with a shareable link and preview card
• Business tools: import vendor, bank, and accounting files (CSV, Excel, OFX/QIF/IIF, QuickBooks, NetSuite, PayPal, PDF), footprint every line item, find high-impact categories, and offset at any scale
• Export any analysis as CSV, XLSX, JSON, or PDF — an imported file comes back enriched, line by line
• AI agent access via MCP — have Claude, ChatGPT, or another agent fetch, footprint, summarize, purchase, and automate climate action for you
• Transparent methods: every figure shows its method and industry classification, so the authority is on the page

IF YOU SELL ONLINE

Your CarbonGuru account also works on the other side of the transaction:

• Show a carbon footprint on your own product pages — a plugin for WooCommerce, an app for Shopify, or one snippet in any template, styled to inherit your theme. Nothing displays until you switch a product on.
• Offset your customers' orders automatically — WooCommerce, Shopify, Stripe Checkout, PayPal, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Zapier and Make, a BCC'd order email, or your own POST.
• Preview mode matches real orders with nothing charged until you turn automatic offsetting on.
• Certificates name your business as the beneficiary, and your customers can see what their order offset.

PLANS — WHAT YOU CAN DO

Free — 30 analyses a month with full results, history, offsetting and removals, sharing, and AI agent access. Enough to see what the service means for you.
Plus — more analyses each month, Gmail analysis, file upload and export, and footprints and offsetting on your own online store.
Pro — Gmail auto-scan, business file formats for accounting, invoice, and bank exports, and higher capacity.
Prime — the same capability at the highest capacity, for teams and stores with volume.

Your analysis counter resets on the first of every month — and resets early whenever your offset and removal purchases reach your plan's threshold. Act more, analyze more. Current prices are at carbonguru.io/plans.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT

Carbon footprint calculations use EIO (Environmentally-Extended Input-Output) analysis. EIO models the entire economy as a web of industries — each one buying from others — and traces emissions through every link in the chain. This gives you a credible, full lifecycle footprint estimate even without access to factory data or supplier lists.

Climate impact calculations use the Social Cost of Carbon (SC-CO₂), the same metric used by governments and international bodies to evaluate the economic damage caused by each additional ton of CO₂. The result is a single dollar figure that represents the real long-term harm of your carbon footprint — making the invisible consequences of emissions concrete and comparable.

AI handles the messy part: reading product titles, receipt text, and web pages to figure out exactly what you bought and map it to the right category. The science handles the rest. AI provides speed and clarity; established environmental and economic models provide accuracy and consistency.

VERIFIED, TRACEABLE ACTION

Carbon offsets prevent or reduce emissions elsewhere — nature-based (avoided deforestation, reforestation, regenerative agriculture), community (clean cookstoves, renewable energy), and industrial avoidance (methane capture, landfill gas). Carbon removals actively draw CO₂ back out of the atmosphere — biochar sequestration, enhanced rock weathering, direct air capture, and ocean-based CDR.

Credits are sourced through CNaught, Frontier, and Stripe Climate — working with leading registries including Gold Standard, Verra (VCS), Puro.earth, and Isometric, with independent third-party auditing, transparent monitoring, and rigorous additionality testing. Every credit is traceable to a specific project and place, and every purchase includes a certificate with project details, registry links, and retirement records.

WHAT WE COLLECT

The extension only sends data when you ask it to analyze something — clicking the CarbonGuru button or analyzing a text selection. It does not passively monitor your browsing. Depending on what you choose to analyze, CarbonGuru may receive the page content and URL of the product, cart, receipt, email, document, or text you provide, plus your account email. We do not store full page content after analysis. See our full privacy policy at carbonguru.io/privacy-policy.

Free to install. Free to start. Pay only if you choose to offset, fund removal, or upgrade.
