Fixed: the Clear button under Top senders quoted what every ticked sender
would give back, but one run clears 25 of them. It now counts only the
senders the run reaches, says how many are left for the next press, and
takes the largest first.

New: Select all on the Top senders list.

New: the Storage purge names its 25-sender limit before you press it,
not in a message afterwards.

Fixed: a custom rule bounded by newer_than: or after: no longer counts
as having an age filter, so the warning about clearing recent mail
appears where it belongs.

Fixed: the 90-day cleanup of stored daily activity could take one extra
day around a daylight saving change.

Restore goes back to the mailbox the run came from, and opens it if it is not open. A run started outside a Gmail mailbox, Google Chat for instance, ends with a message instead of hanging. Erase Stored Sender Data also clears the top senders list on the Stats page and the searches past runs used. Run counts and totals stay. The daily activity chart no longer drops the newest day for anyone west of UTC. The daily housekeeping alarm is re-armed on every Firefox start, since Firefox does not keep alarms across restarts. Account pills in the popup show the address.

Erase Stored Sender Data now erases all of it. The button cleared the
sender census, your unsubscribe receipts and your ticked senders, and
left the sender lists behind the mailbox report, storage X-ray,
suggestions and subscription scan untouched. Those go now too, in one
write. Those four scans go back to asking for a scan. Your recovery log
is not touched, so anything waiting in Trash can still be restored.
Diagnostics counts what is stored, so you can check the button did what
it said.

Fixed: the "waiting in Trash" size could read high on runs made of many
small passes; the note that appears in Gmail after Open Trash could land
in the wrong tab when two Gmail tabs were open on one account; the Stats
page showed one sentence in English instead of your language.

Deleting moves mail to Trash, and Gmail counts Trash against your storage
until it empties. This version stops calling that "freed".

• Run results now say "moved to Trash" instead of "freed".
• A new "waiting in Trash" figure on the result card, the Storage tab,
  the progress page and Stats. It counts only what this extension moved
  in the last 30 days, and only what Restore can still bring back.
• An "Open Trash" button beside it. With two accounts signed in, it
  opens the mailbox that was actually cleaned.
• Arriving there, a short note explains what Gmail's own "Empty Trash
  now" link does, and that it cannot be undone.

Security fix: a run could be tricked into clicking an unsubscribe link that the
sender had placed inside their own message. It now only ever uses Gmail's own
unsubscribe control, and the same check was added to the bulk-delete confirmation.

Also fixed:
- "Skip to main action" did nothing on the tab the popup opens on. It now goes to
the tab you are looking at.
- Report rows cut off the word that says whether a step deletes or archives.
Hover shows the full line.
- Custom rules can be reordered with the arrow keys, and deleting one now removes
the rule you clicked rather than the one in that position.
- Importing a backup runs the same checks as typing a rule, so a file cannot
restore a rule aimed at Starred mail, Trash or Spam, or a schedule set to run
more often than the page allows.
- The button inside Gmail no longer calls a mailbox clean after a scan that did
not finish.
- A failed read no longer empties the unsubscribe receipts list.
- With two accounts signed in, a scan in one tab no longer shows its results in a
popup pointed at the other.
- Safe Mode, the default skip switches and the Pro feature list now say what the
extension actually does.

The cleaner button now shows up in Gmail tabs you already had open, rather than
waiting for the next time a Gmail page loads. Updating the add-on no longer leaves
a dead copy of the button behind either.

Also fixed: the panel no longer reads "0+ MB" on a mailbox with no large mail, the
popup's tab selector lines up with the tab it selects, and a custom rule written
with brackets now gets the same age warning a plain one does. Four places in the
cleaning engine could briefly read the conversation list Gmail leaves behind while
it renders a search. None of them can now.

A small cleaner button now sits in the corner of Gmail, with the free read-only mailbox scan one click away, so you no longer have to find the toolbar icon first. It reads no mail and moves none.

Hide it for 30 days from the panel, or switch it off in Settings.

A finished scan now records which signed-in mailbox it measured, so a second account is never shown the first one's counts.

New: an Erase Stored Sender Data button in Options. It clears the sender census, your unsubscribe receipts and the senders you ticked in them, and it says what it leaves alone.

New: a Diagnostics card showing what is kept on your device. Counts and dates, no addresses.

The sender census now ages out on its own. After a month it stops showing what a clear would take, and after three months it is not used at all.

A count shown next to a delete button now goes away when you change your safety switches, instead of promising a number the run would not match.

Fixes: a sender still emailing you from the spam folder is no longer reported as stopped, Storage X-ray no longer lists a sender as "at least 0 MB", and the Diagnostics log no longer records your Gmail tab title or address.

Fixed: clearing a sender from the mailbox census now removes what the row
said it would. The count and the button were asking Gmail different
questions, so a sender listed with a few recent emails could clear nothing.

Fixed: your Never Delete list and protected keywords now apply to the
sender census.

Fixed: the Storage X-ray no longer rounds small senders down to "at least
0 MB".

Fixed: a Google Chat tab is no longer mistaken for your mailbox, which
made Run look like it did nothing.

New in Pro: the unsubscribe check now finds senders who kept mailing you
but landed in Spam, where an ordinary Gmail search cannot see them, and
senders who stopped and later started again.

New: unsubscribe checks. Every unsubscribe is now dated. Once a sender has
had two weeks to act on it, Pro checks whether anything new arrived, and
the ones that ignored you can be cleared in one click.

New: a sender census. Finds who actually fills your mailbox by sampling
widely and then counting each sender with its own Gmail search, instead of
only looking for promotions and big attachments. The list is free.

Fixed: the Storage X-ray never looked below 5 MB, so it missed the small
mail most mailboxes are made of. It now reaches 100 KB, and the clear
button underneath moved with it.

Fixed: a size written as a plain number of bytes is read as bytes, not
megabytes.

Added: send a feature request from the Options page. It opens an email in
your own mail app. The extension still makes no network requests.

Gmail stopped reporting how many conversations most searches match, so the
Mailbox Report was showing 50 next to steps holding thousands. Counts Gmail
will not total now read as 50+, and the headline says "at least" when it
means at least.

Also fixed: suggestions no longer call every sender 100% unread, bulk delete
works on Traditional Chinese Gmail, and selecting everything now finds the
list on screen instead of one Gmail left behind.

Bulk cleanup now works in every language the cleaner supports. It could
only use Gmail's "select all conversations that match" offer in English,
German and French, so large cleanups elsewhere ran 50 at a time and
stopped early with most of the mail still there.

Also fixed:

  the keyboard. It was cleaning the batch instead.
• A scheduled run that skipped a rule for being too large no longer
  reports itself as finished.
• An Auto-Pilot sweep that stops or fails is now recorded instead of
  vanishing from the panel.
• Unsubscribes are saved as they happen, so closing the Gmail tab
  mid-run no longer loses them.
• A sender you have already cleaned stops pushing itself to the top of
  your suggestions.
• "Schedule removed" and "Log cleared" now only appear when the change
  actually went through.
• The cleaner tells you when it cannot read your saved rules instead of
  falling back to the built-in ones in silence.
• The "Restore Default Rules?" confirmation and the Diagnostics tooltips
  are readable in the light theme.

Fixed:

• Your three free unsubscribes are counted correctly now. They were counted
  by the popup, which closes the moment you click anything else, so on most
  runs the count never moved.
• Stopping an unsubscribe run part way no longer discards the senders it had
  already unsubscribed you from.
• A rule that Gmail rate limits for too long is reported as unfinished
  instead of finished, so a step is no longer marked cleared while mail is
  still sitting there.
• Small text on coloured labels is readable in the light theme.

Three free unsubscribes, once per install, so you can watch bulk unsubscribe work on your own mail before paying for it. Spend them from the Lists tab or from a Smart Suggestions card. Only senders that actually unsubscribe count against them: a cancelled run, a failed one, or a sender that hands you to their own website costs you nothing.

Mostly small fixes.

• Stopping a cleanup part way no longer marks the work as finished. It used to tick the step off, mark senders as purged, and take the Run button away.
• A rule that runs out of room now says so on the result screen and in the notification, not only in the progress log.
• The number of emails a search found could be read off a subject line instead of Gmail's own counter. That number sizes every step of the Mailbox Report.
• Settings could save an empty Never Delete list if reading your synced settings failed for a moment. It refuses now, and says why.
• Traditional Chinese: cleanup could not find the Delete button, so runs stopped without doing anything.
• Safe Mode now shields receipts in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Turkish and Arabic.
• Find in Gmail in the recovery log now finds the label the run made.
• Pro: Auto-Pilot could switch itself off during a sweep, and opening Settings during a storage hiccup could reset four of your Pro settings.

Mostly small fixes.

A cleanup now stops and tells you if your Never Delete list or your protected keywords cannot be read, instead of running without them.

A step in the Mailbox Report that was only partly cleared keeps its Run button, so a rescan that still finds mail there offers it again.

Runs that clean by sender, or clear old inbox mail, are now labelled Senders and Inbox in Gmail rather than Other. Runs that already had a label keep it.

With two Gmail accounts open, each progress window only follows its own. Clear stuck run no longer lets that window start a fresh cleanup on its own.

Pro: choosing 50 senders per Auto-Pilot sweep really clears 50, and Pro Settings warns before you close it with an unsaved change.

Also: days left to restore in the recovery log, a note that storage only frees up once Trash empties, a Protect button that knows who is already on your whitelist, and bulk unsubscribe no longer re-ticks senders it has finished.

Fixes and tidy-up. Nothing new to learn.

• Importing a settings backup no longer drops entries quietly. The
  confirmation counted what was in the file, but the extension stores at
  most 100 whitelist entries, 50 rules per level and 25 protected
  keywords, and it skips anything it cannot read. It now counts what will
  actually be stored and spells out anything it will drop.
• The recovery log stops trimming itself when it cannot check your key.
  A brief storage failure was read as "no licence" and cut the log back
  to 60 entries on the spot.
• The daily stats cleanup can no longer erase a cleanup that finished
  beside it, along with that run's entry in the Stats history.
• Activating Pro now updates a Settings page you already have open, in
  both directions.
• The Pro line on the completion notification waits a week between
  showings and stops after three. It used to appear on every run.
• Fixed the version announced to screen readers on the popup, and the
  Pro summary now names all six paid features instead of three.
