This plug-in did a great job of seamlessly resolving that, whether I open the PDF from within Firefox, or I open it by double-clicking the file on my desktop. Works great!

I realised this after months of tinkering around so thought I should let you know. I did set this up as mentioned in the About.

gönderilme: 8 yıl önceSome servers are misconfigured and don't send a correct PDF content-type header. In this case the addon has no way to tell that it's a PDF and the file will be downloaded. gönderilme: 8 yıl önceThe addon requires the minimal permissions to change the headers which are webRequest and webRequestBlocking for all URLs.
