Overview
PinGrab is a browser extension that downloads media from public Pinterest pins. We are committed to your privacy. This policy explains what data is (and is not) collected when you use PinGrab.
Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect any personal information.
We do not track which pins you download.
We do not send any data to external servers (other than directly to Pinterest to fetch the pin).
We do not use analytics or telemetry of any kind.
We do not store your Pinterest credentials or cookies.


How the extension works
When you click the Download button on a Pinterest pin page, the extension sends a request directly to Pinterest's public API using your browser to retrieve the media URL. The file is then downloaded directly to your device. No data passes through our servers.
Permissions used

downloads — to save media files to your Downloads folder.
storage — to temporarily cache pin metadata locally in your browser.
activeTab — to read the current Pinterest pin URL.
pinterest.com / pinimg.com — to fetch pin data and download media from Pinterest.


Web tool (pingrab.app)
When you use the optional web-based downloader on this site, your Pinterest pin URL is sent to our Vercel serverless function solely to retrieve the media URL from Pinterest. We do not log or store this URL. Rate limiting is enforced in memory only and resets every minute.
