Scout: Job Capture Privacy Policy

What the extension does with your data
The Scout browser extension captures job listings you view on supported job boards (currently LinkedIn and Seek) and saves them to your Scout account. While the extension is active and you browse these sites, it reads the listings you view (including title, company, location, salary, description, and posting date) and sends them to your Scout account so you can track and review them.

What is stored on your device
The extension stores your Scout authentication token, your capture settings, a session capture count, and the set of listings already captured, locally in your browser's extension storage. This local data is not transmitted anywhere except to the Scout API to save your captures to your account.

How we use it
We use extension-captured data only to provide the Scout service. We do not sell it or share it with advertisers. The extension runs only on supported job boards and the Scout web app, and is inactive on all other sites.

Your control
You can pause capture at any time from the extension, and disconnect it from your account on the Scout web app's Extension page. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@protogea.com.
