1.15.5: replies and polls open in the full-size composer, with a switch to make it your default. A folder in both composers lists your other drafts, to switch between them or delete one. Code in a note reads as code, a pasted image uploads in the full-size composer, and Auto Zaps start at 100 sats a zap.

1.15.4: the reaction picker’s quick row becomes the eight reactions you use most, counted on this device only. Notifications arrive again with bootstrap relays off: a new switch, on by default, keeps reading those relays for replies and reactions.

1.15.3: a Bitcoin-only switch that takes local currency out of Sidecar. Pay a Lightning link on sites you aren’t signed in to with Sidecar, with every payment still waiting for your approval. A ⋮ menu on every notification. Replies sent to your inbox relays show up in Notifications, and the zap bolt, spinners and uploads are easier to see on the light themes.

1.15.2: open tabs stay connected when Sidecar updates or restarts, so a client you keep open no longer needs a reload. A warning before signing a follow list that suddenly grows by hundreds, which is how another account's list looks.

1.15.1: the expanded composer's text field is readable in every light theme, and its backgrounds are drawn at the panel's scale. Some themes received minor style refreshes. Refreshing the wallet no longer redraws the history.

1.15: four new themes, two dark and two light, and one of the originals in black and white. On this day. Send shows an invoice before paying it, and payments of 10,000 sats or more ask twice. Connected clients are told your own relays.

1.14: alt text on images, a full-tab composer, CLINK offers, poll results.

1.13: polls, proof of work on posts, name search ranked by your circle.

1.12: reply from notifications, strangers sorted to the bottom of the bell, relay sign-in.

1.11: the theme gallery, relay health checks, your npub as a QR.

1.10.0
Two new themes (Nixie, Populuxe) and balance animations for every theme; bookmarks from your other Nostr clients; mute lists (words, hashtags, threads) now respected in notifications; changing your PIN no longer breaks wallet connections; automatic zaps only pay on sites you're signed into; an invoice a page copies to the clipboard now gets the pay card; Send resolves Lightning addresses before asking for an amount; the bio editor sizes itself to your bio.

What's new

1.8.0
• New theme: Bauhaus — flat planes of primary color, black rule lines, a Futura-lineage geometric sans. Sixth theme, third light theme.
• Every theme now has its own display font — six typefaces from six different categories. The theme picker reads as a type specimen, each card set in the face you'd get.
• "Wrong account?" on the signing prompt — when a site is signed in with more than one of your accounts, the approval prompt tells you and lets you switch without closing it or reloading the page.
• Distinct activity icons — reactions, zaps, reposts and mentions each carry their own glyph in Recent activity.
• Art Deco legibility — gold text on cream measured just 1.67:1 contrast. Now a deep bronze at 5.23:1.
• Signing reliability — a signing approval can no longer be hidden behind a modal, a request lost to a sleeping service worker is retried, and relay and wallet connections no longer die until a reload.
• Copied secrets self-destruct — an exported key left on the clipboard is cleared after 60 seconds.

What's new

1.7.0
• Comment on any webpage — the speech bubble in the top bar opens a composer for the page you're reading. Publishes a kind 1111 (NIP-22) over the page's URL, with @mentions, a review countdown, and a link card. Links point at Jumble, the only client rendering them today.
• Quick-start a Lightning wallet through Rizful — enter a one-time code and Sidecar receives an NWC connection. No separate app.
• The price chart now shows historical ranges with a hover indicator.
• Smarter wallet backup — Sidecar now verifies your relay backup matches the wallet you have connected, and warns before overwriting a different one.
• Restoring a wallet shows the right balance — the client was cached under the account, not the connection, so a restored wallet displayed the previous wallet's balance until you removed and re-imported it.
• Imported accounts now load profile pictures on the first try — a storage write race was silently overwriting freshly fetched profiles.
• Add an account from the dropdown — no trip to settings.
• Interface text stays put — chrome is unselectable, content opts back in.

🗞 What’s new

1.6.0
• A warning before an app erases your data — your follow list, mute list, and profile replace the previous version outright, with no undo. Sidecar compares what it’s asked to sign against what it last signed for you and stops to tell you exactly what would be lost.
• Zaps strike — a bolt of lightning crosses the page on every payment, drawn fresh each time. Turn it off in Settings.
• Tap your balance to cycle sats, BTC, and your local currency, on the wallet card and the pinned bar. Sixteen currencies.
• A 24-hour bitcoin price chart on the wallet card.
• Search — paste an npub, note, nevent, naddr or a name@domain address and it opens in your preferred client. Type a name and it suggests people as you go, starting with your follows.
• Two new themes — Aegean (Greek whitewash and cobalt) and Brownstone (New York sandstone after dark). Five in total.
• Auto Zaps now work — small zaps within your limit go through with nothing to approve, defaulting to 200 sats a zap and 20,000 a day, hard-capped at 1,000 and 100,000.
• Notes now reach your relays. A note could be signed, reported as posted, and stored nowhere, with no error shown.
• Payments report the truth — a payment that succeeded could be reported as failed, or leave the page waiting.
• A clearer approval popup — the PIN field, the auto-sign options, and the name of the site asking all stay in view.

1.5.1
• Relax mode — grant a timed auto-sign window (5, 15, or 30 minutes) so you don’t approve every action during an active session, with a countdown bar and an End button.
• Pinned wallet balance bar — your Lightning balance stays visible everywhere in the panel, updating on incoming payments with a gold glow.
• Film Noir balances are now gold, so amounts read warm in the monochrome theme.
