Privacy Policy — SOCKS5 Switcher

Data stored locally
The extension stores proxy connection settings (host, port, username,
password, credential list) in your browser's local extension storage
(browser.storage.local). This data never leaves your machine and is not
transmitted to the developer.

Data sent to third parties
The extension can optionally display your current exit IP address or
exit country in the toolbar badge and popup. When this feature is
enabled, the extension makes requests to one of the following services:

• https://api.ipify.org (exit IP lookup)
• https://ipwho.is (Geo-IP / country lookup)
• https://ipinfo.io (Geo-IP fallback)

These requests are routed through your active SOCKS5 proxy and reveal
your public exit IP address and normal HTTP request metadata to the
chosen provider. The selected provider's own privacy policy applies.
The extension does not send any other data to these services.

No tracking, analytics, or ads
The extension does not include analytics, tracking pixels, advertising
SDKs, or telemetry. No data is sent to the developer.
