The YT Shorts Remover extension ("the Extension") holds user privacy to the highest standard.

1. Data Collection: This Extension does not collect, record, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, account credentials, or web activity to any external servers. The Extension operates entirely locally (offline) on your device.
2. Data Storage: The Extension's statistics (such as the number of Shorts blocked) and your preferences (which areas to hide Shorts from) are stored exclusively on your own device using your browser's local storage API (browser.storage.local).
3. Permissions: The Extension requires the "storage" permission solely to save your settings and statistics locally. It requires "youtube.com" access permissions ("tabs", "webRequest", "webRequestBlocking") exclusively for the purpose of detecting Shorts content within the YouTube DOM and performing automatic URL redirects from /shorts/ to /watch/.
