I don't know what happened but this ADBLOCK plugin JUST SUCKS!
1) NO LONGER can you use the helper element hider.
2) NO LONGER can you VIEW BLOCKED ELEMENTS and de-select individual blocked elements for a page.
IN SHORT - THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS ADBLOCK AND ANY OTHER ONE OUT THERE!!!
There is NO BENEFIT in using this add-on over anything else - its now CRAP!

It used to be the best blocker... until recently. Where's the Blockable Items pane??? blocking ads means one has to be able to add or remove filters manually. Once a gem, now a piece of trash.

It blocks the startpage about:blank of Firefox 56.x . The new version Firefox 57 I will NOT install for the horrible unusable new design that can't be changed. So Adblock Plus became unusable for me.

The latest version is a totally garbage.

Will not allow me to block elements. I click them as I'm suppose too, the window prompt pops up but clicking add does nothing.

Adblock is a nice add-on for web browsing. but the latest version is garbage.

Fuckling deleted all my 2000+ custom filters.

This add-on used to be excellent, but nearly all of the user-friendly features have been hidden (e.g., element blocking, which doesn't work nearly as well as it did previously) or eliminated altogether. This was the best weapon in the arsenal against the utter bombardment of obnoxious advertising found on most websites these days...shame to see what has happened.

Não gostei, ele estava bloqueando todo o conteúdo de QUALQUER SITE, inclusive fotos e links. Não achei opção para desabilitar essa segurança "extrema", tinha sempre que ficar dando permissão para exibir o conteúdo dos sites. Já foi bom, hj em dia está ruim.

Do something after v57.0 the addon doesn't work properly, such a shame... This was the most useful addon...

The new UI was too hard to figure out. Uninstalled and replaced with uMatrix.

Вернулся на старую версию 2.9.1 (ссылка есть ранее в форуме https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/versions/) и отключил автоматическое обновление, т.к. в новой исчезла возможность легко управлять собственными фильтрами. Просто заново установил старую версию и перезапустил браузер. Фильтры вернулись, но с контекстным меню что-то не так.
Я много лет пользовался этим расширением. Теперь буду искать альтернативы.

New version really sucks. You removed all the good features and just added 'sharing' buttons to advertise your software. I will give uBlock a try.

All the bad features of the Chrome version, none of the good ones of the old Firefox version. Blocking elements rarely works, adding custom filters is a giant pain, there's no way to see blockable elements, etc. etc. I understand having to push out an unready version that's compatible with Mozilla Chrome (let's face it, that's what Mozilla is basically doing, taking away the features that made Firefox useful where Chrome wasn't), but this really isn't a match for previous functionality yet.

This Add-on was good in the past now I can't even browse proper secured sites like WIKIA, Mozilla.org, Google, Gmail, Youtube, Reddit, etc, without disabling adblock. Basically this means that with adblock on you can't browse shit. I had to turn off adblock just to search up google.
