    I checked all the scripts in the .xpi file locally on my device and confirmed for myself that the extension only reads local CSS and does not contain any outgoing tracking or telemetry code.
    But since I’m already creeped out, I’ll turn off auto-updates and recommend others do the same :) I hope permission can be bypassed in the future.
    Edit: Indeed, that'll definitely save some time XD

    Hi, scumhero. Respect to you for checking the code! Alternatively, you can also build the add-on from the source code on GitHub and compare it with the .xpi file :)

    Starting with version 4, the tab bar and URL bar on the Quick Dial-startpage no longer change color. That's why I'm back to using version 3.3.2.

    I was skeptical when a recent update required all-site permissions, and it turns out the extension has now been suspended for violating Mozilla's policy. While I'm not sure why the developer made that choice, it is truly unfortunate.
    Could they have been unauthorizedly misusing user data? Personally, I don't believe full website access is necessary just to change themes. It actually functioned perfectly well without those privileges in the past.
    Either way, it's a pity that we've lost yet another wonderful extension.

    Hi Kai, I believe there is a misunderstanding here. Mozilla didn’t suspend the add-on; instead, I manually deactivated v4.0.3. I was migrating ATBC to MV3, which is more transparent about permissions. However, a bug in that version forced ATBC to roll back to MV2, and thus the “full website access” prompt appeared. ATBC never collects any telemetry or user data, and I publish it transparently under my real name. Many apologies for the confusion.

    Was a good extension, now asks for permission to acess data from all sites, shady.
    Do not recommend.

    Hi, Luz. Sorry for the frustration. To access the webpage content, ATBC has always required to “access your data for all web sites”. Without it, ATBC could never work. You received the permission prompt because there was a rollback from MV3 to MV2 framework.

    This was a 5 star extension until the last update. Now, access to your data for all websites is now required by default. Goodbye.

    Hi deadinside, thanks for trying out the add-on! ATBC utilises content script to efficiently extract colour from websites, which unfortunately requires “Access your data for all web sites”.

    Hi, sorry for the frustration! ATBC, as always, requires “Access your data for all web sites” to be able to use content scripts on websites. v4.0 was an exception due to a mis-configuration.

    All of a sudden requires mandatory access to all web data in order to function! Why would an extension for colour would need full access to everything? This is unacceptable. I'm removing this extension!

    Hi ByronTheBulb, sorry for the confusion. ATBC needs to read HTML content to extract the appropriate colour for the page. You recently received the permission request because a bug caused ATBC to be downgraded from MV3 to MV2.

    Thank you for creating this extension; it’s been great so far! However, I’ve noticed that after the 4.0 update, the extension has been lagging significantly more than before, and the color gets stuck in a previous one. I’m not sure if this is just me, but I thought it was important to bring it to your attention.
