AQW Wiki Enhanced - Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2026
AQW Wiki Enhanced is designed with privacy as a core principle. The extension performs its work locally inside your browser and does not require you to create an account, enter your password, or send your inventory to any third-party service.
WHAT INFORMATION THE EXTENSION ACCESSES
AdventureQuest Worlds Wiki: while you browse aqwwiki.wikidot.com, the extension reads page content to mark items you own, calculate merge recipes and quest requirements, display hover previews, provide search enhancements, and improve the wiki interface. This processing happens entirely inside your browser.
Your AQW account: the extension reads your inventory and bank information from your existing authenticated session at account.aq.com. It does not ask for your username or password, does not provide its own login form, does not store your login credentials, and does not transmit your inventory to any third party. Your browser's existing AQW session is used exactly as if you visited the Manage Account website yourself.
Public Artix calendar: the extension retrieves publicly available server boost information from Artix in order to display current and upcoming server boosts.
INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY
The extension stores information on your computer using your browser's extension storage, including cached inventory data, Farm Goals, theme preference, search preferences, extension settings, and the telemetry consent preference. This information remains on your device unless you remove the extension or clear its data.
OPTIONAL ANONYMOUS TELEMETRY
Telemetry is disabled by default. If you explicitly choose to enable it, the extension sends one anonymous report approximately once per week containing only aggregate feature usage counts, the extension version, the browser family (Chromium or Firefox) and the active theme (Good or Evil). The telemetry never includes passwords, account credentials, usernames, character names, inventory contents, item names, URLs you visited, wiki pages, cookies, IP-based user identification, or persistent identifiers. You can disable telemetry at any time.
DATA SHARING
The extension communicates only with aqwwiki.wikidot.com, account.aq.com, www.artix.com, and the optional telemetry endpoint (only if you have opted in). No personal information is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
DATA RETENTION
If telemetry is enabled, anonymous aggregate usage reports are retained for 90 days to produce usage statistics. These reports contain no personal information and cannot be used to identify individual users.
OPEN SOURCE
AQW Wiki Enhanced is free and open source software licensed under GPL-3.0. The source code is publicly available, including the telemetry implementation, allowing anyone to inspect exactly what the extension does.
CHANGES
If the extension's privacy practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
