Tab Management

• Smart duplicate closing: Normalizes URLs, strips tracking hashes, and closes redundant background tabs while keeping your active and pinned tabs untouched.

• Tab hibernation: Unloads inactive background tabs from memory with a single keystroke to reduce RAM usage.

• Tab rearrangement: Move tabs to the start, to the end, or break them out into separate windows.

• Custom tab aliases: Press F2 to assign temporary custom labels to tabs for faster recall during multi-tab research sessions.

• Split-view tiling: Quickly arrange windows side-by-side on your screen.

Search & Quick Access

• Multi-window tab switching: Fuzzy search across all open tabs, regardless of which browser window they belong to.

• Instant slash filters: Type /tabs, /bookmarks (or "b "), /history (or /closed), and /actions to filter specific result types directly.

• Direct navigation: Open internal URLs, localhost, file paths, and bookmarks instantly from the search bar.

• Search engine integration: Query DuckDuckGo, Brave, Startpage, Kagi, Google, or any custom HTTPS search provider.

Built-in Utilities

• Quick notes: Type /note to save scratchpad notes on the fly. Expand long notes with arrow keys, copy them with a click, or export everything to Markdown.

• Inline calculator: Enter math expressions directly in the input bar to get instant results copied to the clipboard.

• Unit and currency conversions: Convert weights, dimensions, and currencies without loading an external site.

• Background media controls: Play, pause, mute, or trigger Picture-in-Picture on background audio and video tabs directly from the palette header.

Interface & Shortcuts

• In-page overlay modal: Runs as a centered modal that captures your hotkey before web apps like Google Docs, Figma, or YouTube can swallow it.

• Standalone window mode: Option to run the palette as an independent popup window if you prefer an OS-level spotlight feel.

• Remappable hotkey: Rebind the global shortcut to any combination of Command, Control, Alt, and Shift from the settings view.

• Adaptive theme: Automatically detects and mirrors your browser accent colors and dark/light mode preferences.

• Local frequency ranking: Learns which tabs and actions you use most often to prioritize them at the top of your results.

Privacy Architecture

• Zero data collection: Discloses "none" under Firefox data collection permissions. No telemetry, no usage analytics, and no external tracking.

• Offline-first design: Every search, calculation, alias, and note runs entirely on your local machine with zero dependencies on remote servers.

• Restricted content script: The content script (overlay.js) exists only to render the modal frame and capture your activation hotkey. It never reads page content, inspects DOM elements, or monitors keystrokes outside the palette.

• Local storage: All preferences, notes, and local ranking data are stored purely in your browser profile and can be cleared at any time with one click.
