Unfortunately, you can't play the videos anymore. Try civitai.com for example. Autoplay is halted, that's good. But I've found no way to play the videos anymore.

Installed for Facebook Marketplace to stop the annoying ad videos from autoplaying. I can easily turn off when visiting other sties, but a whitelist would be great.

Kind of does the job. I just don't know why anyone would think we'd want a big, ugly, red "click to play" box that frequently gets in the way and makes it hard to even play a video when you do want to. It also often seemed to quit working on YouTube, too. And there was usually a delay before working at all, like I saw at least one other person mention. I got tired of it and had to figure out something better.

The extension is too slow. It only starts working after about a second. If it's a video with sound, the cat jumps through the roof.

it works, but the red frame location is not precise in some site with lazy loading element
Wish for a temporary switch or whitelist

Can't speak for others, but this has been a sanity saver for me! Does EXACTLY what it says, and you simply click on the red square to view a video. This allows the video and controls to be active as desired. Works on YouTube to prevent auto-playing as well as those damn eBay videos when viewing; ..."drives me crazy with the same BS videos over and over down every page!

This is a an overlay that slightly grays over video, outlined with a red square. Simply click inside the red square to activate and view the video. Also works on all video adds and popups on all websites. Can be disabled too and uses negligible resources. Like I said, A sanity saver as I HATE AUTOMATED VIDEOS, or ANYTHING that distracts from the content you're viewing or studying. Outstanding AAA+!

Just what I was looking for. Stops videos from Auto-playing on Pinterest! Hope this helps!

Es perfecto

Thank you so much! This extension is a godsend! It's the only thing that worked for me on Firefox Mobile<3

Giving 5-stars because I got a nice red square around IMDB's (muted, autoplaying) videos. That's why I installed this.

I hope IMDB isn't still downloading video bits in the background. There are a few ways to test this in Linux. Will do this soon (I hope) and update this review.

Its good, but its missing the most important "whitelist" feature... therefore for me it completely loses its usefulness, moreover the red frame should be --optional-- since on some websites it is shown incorrectly on pages

FINALLY! I tried every setting suggestion to disable autoplay videos on Pinterest (on Pinterest, in my Browser, in the mobile App settings), but nothing worked. This add-on finally solved the problem. Thank you very much!!!

Works pretty well most of the time -- but the Brightcove player (which is becoming more and more common) does not play unless this extension is disabled.

Oh, the relief! Thank you for this 🍻

ETA: Any chance we can get a whitelist option?

Second ETA, after 10 months: really needs a whitelist option, or at least an easy way to toggle the extension on/off

Funciona muito bem! Uma sugestão seria a possibilidade de configurar para desativar em um determinado site/domínio

not working on pixiv

jan 2024. doesn't work: auto-play for click to play, "playlist" auto-play not tested

For years I've been annoyed by the autoplay videos at foxbusiness.com. Nothing would stop them from playing. I tried addon after addon, but this one is the only one I found that works. Thank you.

It now prevents any video on Amazon Prime from playing, no matter how many times I click on it. The add-on was great while it worked, but now I'll have to remove it. If only there was a "pause on this site" feature, I'd still be using this, and just pausing on Amazon.

I would have given it five stars if I could disable it on certain sites.
