Good add-on, although rather difficult to get started in the beginning. Only after an e-mail with further instructions was it possible to download a video. Nevertheless recommended!

Haven't used it much. But so far so good!

Worked great on first day, 01/18/20. full resolution at 720p. next day, today, that disappeared to 360. Some excuse about youtube causing it, back in november. Not a good thing....But, moving along to now, 4/14/20, using the transfer video to mp3, worked well. Made a very nice audio. And was pretty easy to use. .

Been using this add-on for years, it works great to deliver the 720p and 1080p Youtube vids that have broken the other downloaders. I very gladly donated $30 to help keep this system up and running, and also donated $20 previously to use on a computer I lost in Hurricane Harvey.

UPDATE: Sept 2025. Very glad to have this add-on back in my browser! The video platforms were being scraped by the AI companies so they retaliated, and this interfered with video downloading for ~everyone~. But now Youtube Video Downloader is BACK, and it is working better than ever! SUPERB downloading capabilities! This is the best video downloader for Youtube ever built! My compliments, and a donation, to the Chef!

This is perfect for downloading YouTube videos. I donated 10 bucks to get the pro features & it seems to have been worth it. Sometimes when YouTube changes something, the button might not appear – you gotta click on the extension icon & select a link in that case. Also sometimes I get a 'already processing. please wait or come back later' or similar message when selecting MP3 conversion. As a workaround, I just download the video in MP4, open that up in Audacity, then export to MP3. Can't say if that's a bug or something else. The developer seems to stay on the ball with fixing stuff, so I trust that issues will get fixed sooner or later. Overall, this is the best YouTube video downloader I've seen yet... :D
