This is the only YouTube video downloader addon I can stand to use. The developer has been working on it for years, and in the few times I have had to email him because YouTube changed the way they did something and it caused a problem, he has always responded within a couple of hours. Video downloaders ALWAYS break because YouTube changes their format, but this app is the first to have a fix. It is really incredible that the developer has stayed on top of this project for so long, constantly fixing it and making it continue to work for us, all on a free, hobby basis.

I actually did donate to the project, and this allows HD downloads as well as just downloading a video's audio as mp3 files. A small donation for these features is more than worth it. Please do it and support continued development, because we truly need more developers like this!

It puts their logo throughout the video which sucks big time. Otherwise was quick and trouble free.

It's a pretty good plugin and it can download pretty much all videos you come across, it's somewhat limited when it comes to larger videos, but it get the job done.

Easy Youtube Video Downloader is a great add-on to allow downloading of high res MP4's and MP3's that are no longer enabled on youtube. Works as advertised. Thank you for this useful extension!

Good for low-definition but when I tried to download a 1280p gave me this SOB story in a massive pop-up:

So, yeah, I simply tried a different Youtube downloader Add-On and 1280p was no problem for it at all - no SOB story or asking for money, just quick 1280p download.

A while back Youtube downloaders stopped working for 720p/1080p quality due to separating the video and audio streams. Switched to this one, donated, and now I get high quality 720p video/audio music videos by the hundreds that I shuffle play on all my devices. Amazingly, this extension takes the HQ video and HQ audio and remuxes them together and then lets you download. Tried a few others and their video quality was poor (lots of pixelation) as they re-encoded. This one appears to simply remux/join the original video and audio into one file which play back on all my devices. Recommended!
