Makes the settings easy to find. A reviewer reported there was no popup and nothing in the settings menu — they were right, and this fixes it.

• The extension now appears in Firefox's Add-ons Manager with a proper Preferences tab, so all the toggles can be reached from about:addons. Previously there was genuinely nothing there.
• The toolbar button is now pinned to the toolbar on install instead of being tucked away inside the puzzle-piece Extensions menu, where it was easy to miss entirely.
• The settings page adapts to the wider Add-ons Manager layout rather than showing a narrow column.

If you already have the extension installed and still don't see the button, click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar, find Facebook Feed Cleaner, and choose "Pin to Toolbar".

Facebook changed how it disguises the "Sponsored" label. It now hides an invisible character between every letter of the word… Detection now removes invisible characters of every kind before checking, rather than looking for specific ones.

Fixes a bug in 0.3.0 where opening a post showed an empty window until the tab was reloaded.

• Clicking a post now loads it normally. Posts are briefly held back from painting until they have been checked for ads, and the release that undoes this was only running while the feed was being scanned. Opening a post stops that scan, so the post was held back and never let go. The release now always runs, and posts opened directly are never held back in the first place.

This release fixes ad detection, which had stopped working entirely, and rewrites how posts are identified.
• Sponsored ads are detected again. Facebook now renders the "Sponsored" label as scrambled single-letter fragments with hidden decoys, so the word appears nowhere in the page. The label is now read from what's actually drawn on screen.
• Ads no longer flash past while scrolling. Facebook builds each post barely before it reaches the screen, so there was never time to hide one first. Posts are now held blank until checked, then revealed. Can be turned off as "No-flash mode".
• Opening a post no longer hides the whole thread. A "Follow" button on a comment could previously hide the entire discussion.
• The right sidebar no longer loses your contacts and birthdays when hiding sidebar ads.
• New toggles: People You May Know, suggested groups, right-sidebar ads only, a master on/off switch, and Debug mode.
• Fixed settings not saving on Firefox, which could leave the popup blank.
