I love the idea of local machine learning translation instead of everything going through creepy Google. Been using it for a while now and it's actually working really well. However, I wish it would have an auto-detection of language on the page and ability to select your preferred language that you want to translate into and just have it automatically translate everything automatically. Having said that, if these controls can be adjusted in extension settings, there is no need to have the toolbar always visible. One could have it enabled if desired, but we already have quick access button for extension itself in the URL bar if you need to change that. If this stuff can be addressed I'm giving it 5 stars easily. Thanks Mozilla, really cool extension.

I really like this extension and it works well for me in most cases (I used it for translations from english -> german and spanish -> german).

But why do we have this annoying extension bar if we already have a nice and fancy icon in the url bar?

Idea is very good, but I cannot make it work at all in Ukrainian version of Firefox after upgrade of plugin: multiple errors, like "Error in scrubbing Sentry data. Skipping to not propagate to global onerror and avoid sending sensitive data", failed promises due to hardcoded "en" language, etc.

A qualidade da tradução é boa (Inglês -> Português), mas pode melhorar, e a extensão precisa ser trabalhada.

- Em páginas com idioma misto, ela "traduz" também o idioma nativo, deixando-o incoerente.
- A barra de tradução é muito intrusiva e não tem um botão de fechar depois de traduzir e é preciso recarregar a página, o que desfaz a tradução.
- A extensão não salva o último idioma usado.
- O progresso de tradução deveria ser uma barra de progresso, não um contador numérico. (O que os números significam? As vezes parece que congela e você não sabe se a extensão está funcionando).
- Os botões de "Preferências" e de "Estatísticas" nas opções não fazem nada.
- As traduções não estão disponíveis no Modo de Leitura. (Traduzir e então entrar nesse modo funciona)

The quality of the translation is good (English -> Portuguese), but it could improve, and the extension needs work.
- On mixed language pages, it "translates" the native language as well, leaving it incoherent.
- The translation bar is very obtrusive and does not have a close button after translating and you have to reload the page, which undoes the translation.
- The extension does not save the last used language.
- Translation progress should be a progress bar, not a numeric counter. (What do the numbers mean? Sometimes it seems like it freezes and you don't know if the extension is working).
- The "Preferences" and "Statistics" buttons in the options do nothing.
- Translations aren't available in Reader Mode (Translating and then entering it does)

The only issue that target language cannot be selected.

My interface is in English and I want to translate into Ukraine, but that's not possible.

Please add Translate to Firefox natively without the need for an extension.

It does not allow translating from English if your UI language is English.

Don't understand how it works. I prefer to use DeepL that works perfectly for me.

Should pursue your good work on this module ! Doesn't work perfectly and a bit slow, limited languages.
The possibility to do it directly as in chrome is very important for me and it was the reason why I switch of navigator for a long time (I know I am lazy). Should be a top-priority application to improve at Firefox in my opinion, even should aim to propose it during installation.

Super impressed with the last update. Fixed all my previous issues.
