Effectively opens the html page to your google contacts in phone view as a side bar. This means if you are logged in on your web browser it will automatically be logged on without any setup.
Useful in comparison to the gmail 'side panel' as you can add contacts directly from it, which for some reason google omitted from there offical solution.
