It does include a two dollar *one-time* payment now which to me is very worth it (compared to paying monthly for youtube premium, imagine). I like that it brings back the old YT algorithm and tbh blocks out way more than ads. Kudos 👏

The option to hide YouTube Shorts, bring back the classic player and interface, and fully customize the platform makes YouTube feel much more enjoyable.

New features:
- Remove "who's still listening in 2025" style comments (optional)
- Faster loading speed
- Improved privacy and security
- Removed settings menu icon from the bottom right of Youtube (this is because I can now use a normal extension menu instead, which is nice)
Upcoming new features:
- Automatically set video quality to highest / lowest / whatever you want
- Always start in theater mode
- Remove all AI related stuff
- Support for transcripts
- Fixed shuffle and loop functionality for playlists
- And more over time

Youtube detects other adblockers like UBlock Origin and slows down the site in response to them but GoodTube does not have that problem.
Not only that, it also includes some extra optional features such as removing all shorts, removing AI and my personal favorite: setting how many videos you want per home row.
