This extension does not do as advertised. Look into how they sell themselves to businesses they want to partner with: they describe themselves as good for businesses because *they stop customers from looking for coupon codes*. Instead, the company can give Honey a low discount to give to customers, and the customers will think that it's the best code available.

Scam

In a video recently uploaded by "MegaLag," he found that not only did Honey poach affiliate commissions right before a purchase was made with their coupon codes, but that they could poach them even without finding a successful code! They then go on to use mainly honey branded coupon codes that aren't always the best code you could find yourself, completely going against their claim that the deal they found was; "the best deal." I installed this a long time ago, and uninstalled it when I discovered that it didn't even work to find the best codes. At the time I thought it was incompetent, but now I find it's been maliciously stealing affiliate links on every website you buy from. Holy carp am I ever glad I uninstalled it!

Steals your data and steals referrals from legitimate sources without providing any sort of value back to the user. It's never saved me any money and I always find better coupon codes myself. This is just more internet cancer owned by PayPal. Uninstall, do not use.

It's a scam and steals money from influencers and businesses.
It doesn't give you the best deal for you, it gives the best deal for them to make a commission off your purchase instead.

They steal affiliate links you clicked to get the commission themselves. and they also sometimes actively provide you a worse coupon code than one you can find it a google search because they were paid by the shopping websites to do so, they do not try to get you best deals, and steal commissions from peoples affiliate links.

It's a deceptive extension that changes the link you use to purchase items to a link referred by them so that they would make money off of you, and if you were referred by someone (for example by using the link of a youtuber you like when purchasing an item) they remove their referral and add theirs instead, literally stealing the money from the youtuber.

As shown by MegaLag on YouTube Honey actively poaches affiliate links by overwriting them even when they don't find you a deal, while also preventing you from finding better offers by allowing sites to decide which coupons are shown to you, Do not forget this is now owned by PayPal, I will be considering deleting my PayPal, glad I stopped using Honey a long time ago, actually scammy' behaviour.

scummy practice stealing affiliate earnings and essentially stealing money from those who promote it. uninstall this if you have it, report it as well, get this removed from the add-ons store

Honey is a data harvester. Wouldn't recommend using it.
