OVERVIEW
KDP Research Extractor Pro ("the Extension") helps Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) authors and publishers conduct market research by extracting publicly visible book data from Amazon search results. This policy explains what data the Extension processes and your rights.

DATA WE PROCESS
- Extension Settings: your preferences for auto-extraction, notifications, AI provider, export formats
- API Keys: if you configure AI analysis, your Mistral AI or OpenRouter API key (stored locally in your browser only)
- Extracted Book Data: publicly visible data from Amazon search pages you choose to extract (title, author, price, rating, review count, format, ASIN, ISBN, publication date, rank, badges)
- Export Data: data you choose to export (CSV, Excel, JSON)

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
- No personal information (names, emails, addresses, payment info)
- No browsing history outside Amazon search pages
- No Amazon account credentials or login data
- No analytics or tracking (no Google Analytics, no ad IDs, no third-party cookies)

HOW DATA IS STORED
All data is stored locally in your browser (local storage / IndexedDB). No data is sent to our servers. API keys are stored locally on your device. We do not operate any backend server that collects your data.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (only when you explicitly use the feature)
- Mistral AI (api.mistral.ai) - for AI-powered market analysis, only when you click "Analyze with AI" using your own API key
- OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) - alternative AI provider, same conditions as above
- Amazon domains - only to read publicly visible search result data on the page you are already viewing

No data is transmitted to any third party unless you explicitly initiate an AI analysis action.

YOUR RIGHTS
- Access all stored data from the Extension's Options page
- Delete all data at any time from the Options page or by uninstalling the extension
- Export your data as CSV, Excel, or JSON at any time
- Disable auto-extraction, notifications, or AI features at any time

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
This Extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the extension's update notes.
