looks very nice, but it annoys me that all tabs except the currently opened one have a gray font color, white would look nicer imo

Grey helps distinguish which tab is currently open. I'm open to a different shade of grey, it just has to be darker than white.
Also take a look at the plexus series, all tabs have white fonts there (because the background is an image).
