Parse: Time & Weather in your browser автор pea.dev
Parse is made by Karebin LLC (Pea). This covers Parse only. The full policy is at https://pea.dev/privacy
WHAT STAYS IN YOUR BROWSER
Parse reads the pages you visit to find US phone numbers and ZIP codes, and it does this inside your browser. Names, emails, full phone numbers and other page content are not sent to us. Your settings are stored on your device.
WHAT PARSE SENDS TO api.pea.dev
To show a badge, Parse asks api.pea.dev for the time zone of a three-digit area code, a ZIP code or a state (never a full phone number), and for the weather there unless you turn live weather off in Settings. Each answer is reused for an hour. With these requests Parse sends:
- a random device ID that Parse creates, used to count daily weather lookups (250 a day, or 1,000 with a free Pea account) and how Parse is used
- your Pea account email and sign-in token, if you're signed in
- the domain of the website you're on, such as app.hubspot.com, which your browser attaches. Never the page path or anything on the page.
We keep the lookup counts with the device ID or account and the domain for up to 400 days, and the IP address each request came from (for IPv6, the network part) for up to 180 days.
BADGE COUNTS (OPTIONAL)
If you allow technical and interaction data (at install, in Parse's settings or in about:addons), Parse sends totals of how many badges it showed on each website and how many included the weather, with the device ID, about every 15 minutes. Without that permission nothing is counted or sent.
BUG REPORTS
Only when you report a problem from a badge or its hover card, Parse sends what you type, the number or ZIP code it was about, the badge's text and the address of the page. Unless you untick "Include page context", it also sends about 60 characters of text on either side of the number and the page title. Our server adds your IP address, country and browser version. Reports are kept for 90 days.
SIGNING IN AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
If you sign in from the popup, your email and password go to auth.pea.dev to start a session. About once an hour Parse fetches short announcement text from auth.pea.dev for its popup. That request carries no page content or lookups.
SHARING
We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising. We share it only with the providers that run the service: Cloudflare (hosting and databases), our weather data provider (which receives the location only) and our email provider (account emails).
