A good VPN. Maybe not the best, but simple and efficient.

I can't fairly comment on the 'free' part as I am a paid subscriber to PureVPN. That said, it seems to me that it works pretty well in maintaining my security/privacy while surfing. I guess that is somewhat of a guess as it is difficult to know how well a VPN is working unless it doesn't work and you find yourself compromised.
