Literally does not work. Cannot load any content what so ever

Add-on worked at first, but stopped working without warning, exposing my real IP. By all indications, it appeared to be still working and would even appear to connect to the chosen server.

After receiving adds targeted to my real location, I checked my IP, my real IP displayed even though the add-on status indicated connected.

Only after uninstalling and reinstalling add-on did it work as it was supposed too.

I suspect this may have started when the add-on begun going straight to the settings upon opening. That behaviour has now stopped after re-install.

I have had 4 paid accounts with PureVPN for many years and until the recent updates with the FireFox browser I have had no trouble at all. The FireFox plugin would automatically login the country it was logged in to the last session and this worked with any country. Now when I access a FireFox browser you never know if it is really connected even when it says it is connected. It will say connected when it is not, and trying to disconnect gives an error. Support attempted to explain away how this is a me issue, but I have four separate machines and all of them now have the same issue and the only thing that has changed on my end is the FireFox browser update. I spent the better part of a week working with PureVPN support and made no progress. So for me this extension doesn't work at all with recent versions of Firefox on Windows. Completely useless. (This is 4 paid accounts, not the trial or anything like that).

After some updates the extension stopped working with Firefox and Brave, I haven't tested other browsers.

edit: I have to edit this review because after changing the password it now works. Unfortunately there has been a mess with the username and password created since they introduced the ability to log in with email. Anyway good, I'm happy with this VPN.

The owner of this website (www.purevpn.com) has banned the country or region your IP address is in (CN) from accessing this website.

This has been a horrible experience. The app promises a 7 day free trial which they then make impossible to cancel anywhere in the menu!!! Then when you cannot cancel the subscription before the end of the trial, they charge you for the whole year. Absolute disgrace + they spam emails every day. Never again
