Wonder Why This IS Not A Recommended Extension? Google Spies/Tries/Dies, wikipedia fries/flies, Startpage uses google.com and also those ones and duckduckgo do not choose to tell you what data they are collecting and who it is it sent to.

Brave Software have launched action saying that GDPR has not been enforced on Google, and also MANY MANY web-sites say that you need to accept or consent or understand or whatever to data collection YET THEY DO NOT PREVENT YOU FROM USING THE WEB-SITE WHICH YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN PERMISSION TO COLLECT DATA FOR.

Je mets 4 étoile car Qwant protège mes recherches des prédateurs de données. Cependant, je n'ai pas mis 5 étoiles car, à plusieurs reprises, pour des recherches qui ne me semblaient pas très complexes, Google a donné un résultat nettement meilleurs que Qwant. Je mets ça sur la jeunesse de Qwant et je continue à l'utiliser bien sur.

Enervant: Impossible de passer la page d'accueil en mode sombre une fois le module installé.
J'ai envoyé des mails à Qwant pour leur demander comment faire mais aucune réponse...
Le module ne se connecte pas à mon compte qui est configuré pour entrer en sombre, et une fois le module installé on ne peu pas plus changer l'adresse de la page d'accueil Qwant...
Ils ne doivent pas utiliser leurs modules... ni même leurs boites mails...

You can make Qwant your default Firefox browser without installing the extension by navigating to the Qwant site. Clicking the search box icon will allow you to add Qwant as a search engine and make it the default if you like.

This works. It gives me the option to make qwant my search engine and is customizable without hard-wiring any preferences.

Why on;y 4? It seems a tad slow. If this is because the sites are in europe, I would accept that. I am not sure at this time.

Hey is there any way to quickly navigate through search results, e.g. by using the tab key instead of the mouse?

Search site is quite slow. The extension overrides home page in new window which caused the loss of my session after I closed a window.

I wanted to try Qwant as a search engine, but it takes over Firefox's start page. Configuring the start page is no longer possible while the extension is active.

It should not change my homepage to Qwant. I use it all the time as a search but I like to keep a few tabs when I launch Firefox
