    After switching from Chrome to Firefox, there were a few features I missed, such as the tab group sync. I came across this extension and after some getting used to, it does exactly what it is designed to do: sync groups and their tabs between devices. One suggestion is to include a way to (de)select all groups at once.

    Working nicely after the update, and it now runs well across my devices.

    I do have some feature requests.
    It would be really helpful if there were a way to view a snapshot of the current device, sync closed tab groups, and possibly add a backup option (either local or cloud-based).
    I once experienced a situation where after a firefox update, my closed tab groups disappeared and were very difficult to recover.

    Ideally, it would work somewhat like Google Chrome, where tab groups can be opened or closed anytime from any device. However, I understand this might be difficult to implement given the current sync behavior in Firefox.

    I will look into the feature requests you put through. I had them in my thoughts but could never think of a clean way to implement it. My worry has been that it may become confusing for users to follow. Will think about it again during the weekend when i get some time. :)


    Hello Yofi. A few did report a similar behavior on specific environments. To help me debug it: Is your firefox sync on? - Its able to sync your bookmarks etc..?

    I may have found the issue. Its a limitation with the storage amount firefox sync provides. Implemented a compression/decompression and chunking fix for it. Should be out with 1.5.0 version. I would be glad if you can update/install it, try it once and drop me a note.

    1.5.0 is submitted. Should be available in an hour or two.

    I didn't expect this to over write my existing tab groups on the computer i was syncing my old data to. I suppose it worked, just not as I expected.

    Sorry you had to go through that. The mirror checkbox explicitly informs user that if checked, it will replace the tab group and tabs in it locally. The normal flow does not replace anything. It's an additive sync at heart. If mirror is checked, it forces a replace - that option is for users who do want to replicate their session state across devices.
