Tumblr shows a "last read here" bookmark on your dashboard, but it blends in with other inserted elements and is easy to lose. This extension makes it impossible to miss — and helps you get back to it.

What it does

• 🔖 Marks Tumblr's built-in "last read here" bookmark with a glowing gold marker.
• ⏬ Find Bookmark — one click scrolls the feed and jumps you straight to your bookmark.
• ⏮ Previous Bookmark — remembers where you resumed reading in earlier sessions, so you can jump back to where you were one, two, or more sessions ago.
• 🎨 Customizable — set the marker color and text, the button visibility, the scan limit, and how many past positions to keep, all from the options page.
• 🧹 Filters out fake bookmarks (community recommendations and similar inserted blocks).

How it works

Tumblr inserts a special element to mark where you last read. This extension detects the real one (filtering out look-alikes) and overlays a clearly visible marker. For history, it records the permanent ID of the post next to your bookmark each time you open the dashboard, so it can scroll back and find that exact spot later.

Privacy

No data is collected or sent anywhere. Your settings and bookmark history are stored locally in your browser only.

Lightweight

Uses requestAnimationFrame and throttled DOM observation, so it stays smooth even during fast scrolling.
