• The need for a support call never arose but the developers seem to be pretty decent folk.

Have had no problems with recognizing and downloading media from a number of sites. Works well with downloading YouTube videos I need to watch offline.

2025 - Still works well. Visually new interface is much better. Picks up file names with having to copy and paste.

What I like Video Download Helper is; it's simple and easy to use. It works well even if the internet speed is slow. There are several download options you can choose from. The Video Download Helper is very convenient and helpful for me.

This is an excellent utility. I needed to also get the download companion which you are asked to install. Very easy to do this and I have found this then allows anything to be downloaded. I haven't had this utility fail to download anything yet. I used only the highest quality setting which I find is really good, I haven't bothered trying the less good options. Very highly recommended for anything that needs to be downloaded. I tried a few other utilities before I knew about this and they failed on a few sites - this has worked with everything. A definite 5 stars!!
