In exchange for a slightly more modern user interface you have severely limited the functionality of the extension and have essentially taken away the ability for the user to configure the extension to their liking. I Have rolled back to the the last update before this and have disabled updates. Im not sure if this downgrade and reduced funtionality was done due to pressure from Google, or new management, or greed but it is very disappointing. I will begin looking into alternatives to this extension that has served me well for over 5 years. Please reconsider this new direction, this feels insulting.

I've been using this application for years but after the 12\23 update, the downloader is completely broken. It will not download anything.
It will start the process and it says there is an error and the video could not be completed. Hopefully this error gets fixed asap.

This is a great plug-in that just works. It requires no tinkering or fiddling. This plugin will be in my arsenal for many years to come.

Been using this for a while. Has some issues but are minor. I like the quick download ability. Large videos not so much but I almost never download large videos for personal reasons so no big deal. It does have a drawback in that it will record an English video into German. They are going to need to fix this if they really want fully public support. other than that everything is good and I would recommend this app.
New review. So issues talked about have apparently been fixed. Really a nice app now. Responsive and very useful. Thanks to the team who made it.

The best video downloader I have tried

Extremely useful tool, much used by myself. But experience a couple of glitches, at least when downloading from YouTube, by far my most used source.
1. After downloading several videos in succession, downloads fail. The work-around I have discovered is to cut the connection and change the IP# via my VPN. If that fails, a reboot makes it work.
2. Many videos are available offering dubbing in a variety of languages, the default usually being English which is what I listen to (or occasionally French in which I am fluent, if that happens to be the original). However I sometimes get a succession of recordings dubbed in German! I have no knowledge of the language and have found no solution to this.
