Xweep is a browser extension that helps users bulk-delete content on X (formerly Twitter).

DATA WE COLLECT: None.

Xweep does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data. All operations happen entirely within your browser, using DOM automation to interact with X's web interface. Your tweets, likes, bookmarks, follows, and notifications never leave your computer.

PERMISSIONS WE REQUEST AND WHY:
- storage: To save your filter preferences and daily deletion counter locally.
- tabs: To detect which X page you are on (profile vs. likes vs. bookmarks).
- scripting: For runtime injection of the deletion engine.
- alarms: For the daily counter reset and scheduled auto-cleanup feature.
- downloads: For exporting tweet backups as JSON files (locally).
- notifications: To notify you when scheduled sweeps complete.
- host permission for x.com and twitter.com: Required for the extension to read and modify the X website.
