von miss_p1nky, vor 7 JahrenPerfect! Just missing 2 key features:
- The ability to prompt save new login AFTER we login
- The ability to be unlocked ALL the time. It's such a hassle to re-login every single time I open my browser, especially when my password is long.
The other password managers have these 2 very basic features so please I hope 1Password X implement these as soon as possible to make me move fully to 1Password.
Thanks!

These are some really great points you’ve made.
We always put security first here at 1Password and when we save a new Login item, we save everything on the page and run a check to make sure everything we saved matches when we go back to _fill_ your Logins. This helps to make sure your data only goes exactly where it’s supposed to. After some trial and discussion, it was decided that prompting you to save a Login item upon filling the final field in a login or sign up form is currently the most reliable way to ensure items are properly saved with the correct URL and page background details.
However, this isn’t our final answer. It’s the best, most secure, and least obstructive way we have found so far but do have plans to work on it some more.
In regards to the 1Password X locking behavior — We do have a solution! We recently released a feature to our beta builds that allows 1Password X to communicate with the Desktop app and thereby leverage it for it’s locking and unlocking capabilities. This feature is currently available in Chrome and Firefox on macOS. If you’re using 1Password on a Windows device, please sit tight; We’re working on bringing you the same feature. At the time of writing this, I can only get version 8.12.4 and 1Password have already released 8.12.12 two weeks ago. The version Mozilla have is close to 3 months old.... - Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternenvon Christopher, vor 2 Monaten

The most serious issue is that it does not work properly with HTTP Basic Authentication pop-up login windows. In Firefox, I often have to click multiple times and even navigate back in the browser before eventually receiving a different error message, after which the login may finally work. This issue does not occur in Google Chrome.
This has been going on for months. I pay for an expensive subscription, but I do not expect to renew it unless this problem is properly resolved. For my work, I use a very large number of HTTP Basic Authentication links with login pop-ups, and this simply has to function correctly. At the moment, I am forced to click repeatedly or switch to Google Chrome just to get basic functionality.
Support from 1Password has also been extremely slow. It often takes several days to receive a response, which is very disappointing.
My subscription runs until November 2026, but I am already considering alternatives. That is unfortunate, because 1Password does many things very well. However, when it comes to Firefox, the overall experience has been a major disappointment. Judging by the large number of negative comments here, I am clearly not the only one experiencing this.
Sidenote: also the 1Password application for Android phone has issues; it reports 9 out of 10 times, that it has no connection, so all passwords I am adding, do not show up on my desktop. #fail #1password - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 19822537, vor 3 MonatenThe plugin is significantly slowing my browser, tested my suspicions on a browser benchmark site and speed score went from 8 with the plugin on and 30 with it disabled (nothing else changed)

When imposed by companies, have to use it, else avoid like hell ! (and do not use it for personal side, your data is on a cloud and a company which is not trustable !) - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 5951631, vor 3 MonatenIf you already have 1password account, that has some kind of order, this extension will ruin the order you created by duplicating records you created with records called "Sign in" or something.
- Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Garett, vor 3 MonatenWorks well for the most part, but it can get annoying when I don't want to save a particular account used for log-ins. The pop-up should have a "No, and don't ask me again" option so that it doesn't come up every time.

Insupportable. Désinstallé direct.

- Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon mokidokie, vor 5 MonatenI've used this for years with no problems, but recently (within the last few months) it's been hyper-aggressive with the pop-up prompts - even when not signed in. Click out of it and immediately it comes back when you focus on the next field on the same page. It's gotten so bad I've had to disable the extension until the time i actually need it, and then once i'm done i have to disable it again. Not sure what the heck they changed on the back end but it needs to stop.
