POSTED as new review since sadly there is no reply option to Ad Block Plus aka ABP SPIN CONTROL REPLY on previous honest bad review , alerting users and potential down-loaders of the extension things have changes . ABP is no longer the knight in shining amour on a white horse. to backhander under the table dirty tricks used by ABP
Opt out is a cop out first and foremost that is old spammer speak. See a parallel of behavior?
Even after opting out, a user is required to chase through the settings to yet again for the 100+ F'ing time to re-opt out because ADP updates engage in dirty tricks to reset user preferences with each and every update. So many one begins to question the legitimacy of the updates(no way to shut them off easily) of having actual content other than the purpose of reenable'ing your "so claimed, non- financially incentive coherts". Please go back to your original behavior,
People already will whitelist websites, blogs, forums, etc. they want to support by showing ads. No advertiser has a right to force their ad into my home, which is exactly what ABP is doing with their ""incentives"" Subtle Hint (aka it is now 2018 and people get ad revenue is needed and they even make donations to pay sever bills for small specialty forums. Some of us actually like their ads because of retailers shown. Although that is very limited due to website and actual advertiser, the rest can bugger off. Being tracked and annoyed with ads does endear me to allow your defined""acceptable advertising" .
Please take a hard look at your behavior and the underhandedness of it, and reevaluate the type of person & extension you wish to be known as. Options? Ether an annoying spam ad nefarious scum(you're known by the company you keep) or the programmer(s) trying to change the internet for the better. Changing user selected settings behind the user's screen , without even a click box that is automatically check to allow crap through is even more underhanded . This is lowbrow and shows how far the mighty ABP have fallen. It was those ""acceptable ads" that made me find where Ad Block Plus has become more rogue than white hat.
So check you hat color because it is not white by any means.
The comment & facts still stands despite your protests, I really wish you would turn your behavior around, you can have acceptable ads, but tricking and underhandedly forcing users into them is not acceptable. I use to recommend and install ABP as a default for security ,safety, speed improvements from removal of ads, and making the inexperienced user's online experience one not for of crap ads. ABP was used for many friends and older people, which sadly is no longer the case. They can't leep out and remember to have to go fix their security settings, they expect that from trusted extensions which AD Block Plus is no longer trust worthy!
Might as well change your name to McAfee at this rate.... ABP is following their road living of a good name while turning crap and screwing their user base until they all learn to play whack-a-mole on every update or finally uninstall because ABP has no hope or future.

geschrieben am vor 12 StundenWe appreciate your feedback. We use a system called smart allowlisting: if you do not visit a website that you have allowlisted within 7 days, it gets automatically removed from your allowlisted websites. If you visit it in 7 days, it will get renewed for another 7 days.
We are always looking to improve, so I am forwarding your message to our team for their consideration in future updates. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Mirka, vor 19 Tagen

There is no obligation to upgrade and you can dismiss the page by clicking the "x" on the browser tab. You can also dismiss this page by going to the Advanced tab on your ABP settings and unchecking the box next to "Allow Adblock Plus to show occasional promotional messages."- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon tl, vor 3 MonatenCreates multiple virus like software applications that are intentionally hard to uninstall. Also not a reputable company, takes your information and tries to hide it from you that they do it.

1. only tried this add on about a year ago and I took it off, so why is it asking me for money?
2. Why is it popping up on edge...I never put an add on there.
3. I never used edge so how can it stop 5,245,388 ads for me when I never used the browser for more than 10 minutes at most, ever.
This add on is a scam, this add on is dangerous.Antwort des Entwicklers
