geschrieben am vor 3 TagenI don't mind a bad review but I would love to fix the issue you're having.
It would mean a lot to me if you could describe your issue and details like the post and some basic device info. You can open an issue on the "issues" tab either on GitHub https://github.com/Splat15/Bluesky-downloader-extension or on codeberg https://codeberg.org/Splat15/Bluesky-downloader-extension
Thank you - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 15474792, vor 22 TagenThis addon is exactly what I've wanted for bsky. No longer do I have to right click everything and type in something much more slowly than a computer could. I love that there are so many options for saving. I would love to know how it's deciding to save as JPG versus WEBP when you enable 'set best image quality', or how it's converting gifs back to gifs instead of mp4s, but right now it's fantastic.

Saving in jpg/mp4 again was a boon in itself but being able to change how it saves the file name feels huge and more importantly is all accurate! The old extension I was using got confused and would misname the file if it was a quote post or I was on the post individual url, but this provides the right names, urls, and timestamps no matter the .
However, there is one thing from the previous extension I used that I wish were here (or understood how to make it do). Automatically saving the file the folder with the corresponding username within the general bsky download folder. I hope that is doable in the future (if it isn't already).
If not, you've save me a lot of headache as is. But if so, you'll have made the best bsky media downloader out there. Thank you so much!

That work! I'm saved! THANK YOU!!Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 6 MonatenThank you for the feedback, this means a lot. Without going into too much detail, reliability is a priority for me and I specifically tested quote posts as they are tricky or even almost impossible to get right without workarounds.
As for the file path, on desktop devices you can include / in your file name to specify a folder in your download directory. For example, "bsky/%displayname%/%filename%" will save a file as bsky.app-3lxxo3i4qzs2c.mp4 in the Downloads/bsky/Bluesky folder.
Mobile devices sadly dont support this because of a limitation from the browser. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Occasional Nerd, vor 7 MonatenDoes exactly what it says it does, and does it well. Great that it saves the name of the original poster as well. Can't ask for more.

I often save pictures from artists that I follow on bsky and was really bothered by all of the default filenames being like "bafkreickki53fubfqd6rdvrf3zbgr6kpvob.jpg" which made me lose track of who drew what and in some cases left me unable to follow artists whose work I really enjoyed. All I wanted out of this extension was to include the user name into the saved file name, and it does exactly that!
Only way it could be better for me is if it let me pick the save location rather than defaulting to the downloads folder, but I can deal with that. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 19538330, vor 10 Monaten
