Here are some things I think should be added.
The ability to add animated backgrounds. (all animated gifs/png are static)
I don't know what you're limited to, but hopefully that is something possible.

Be able to override the middle click to work on right click when clicking on shortcuts.
I understand this is a very specific thing, but some people might not have a middle click.

You should add a css editor.
I tried to use my usercontent.css to edit the background more, but it doesn't work.
I like to use image-rendering: -moz-crisp-edges; image-rendering: crisp-edges;
because it makes smaller sprites look better.

Have the clock on the regular screen, instead of just on the zen mode.
Be able to disable the fade if desired.
