von Firefox-Benutzer 16997645, vor 5 JahrenYou advertise google and yandex, but when I use your translate selected text it opens a new page, and takes me to the super $h!††y deepl. Why not avoid lying and show a screenshot of what you actually do! I hate this garbage translator, google is far more accurate from Chinese to English, Spanish, French, and Polish. Also German to USA slang is much more accurate on google. DeepL should visit nvidia deep learning institute to train their retarded bots and stay the hell off my machine!
If indeed you did not switch to deepl and I stepped in the hundesheiße all by my ignorant self, then I both apologize for misdirected anger [a common anger issue, precision and anger don't hang out well together, next time you're raging mad, try threading a needle], and sincerely thank your for your candid reply. Accurate criticism is always a gift, even though it rarely appears as such.
Basically sorry and thanks!
I have used this plugin for a long time, and liked everything about it, so I trust your reply and revised accordingly, especially persuaded by your care and commitment to your project. I speak 5 languages, so use this and other translators and dictionaries 50x daily.
Features I like: when translating from or to Chinese, pinyin is also provided, option to cycle through multiple sources (yandex, MS, Google, etc. nice to have a Chinese translator as an option also like "sougou" https://fanyi.sogou.com/text, I get very different translations from Chinese translator apps from China versus the typical ones above), an option to translate "in situ" leaving the text right where you found it, but in the target language, if using the popup it should allow deep diving into grammar or grammar syntax model sentences, and my ultimate dream would be a regional slang option, for example you could cycle through academic/formal, business vernacular, casual speaking, and finally add profanity embellishments.
I am partly finding some comedy here, but on a sincere note, translating a phrase, and then seeing how each style, from stuffy and bookish, to street slang, with profanity also similarly graded from tame to Howard Stern would blush hearing it, all of this would accelerate learning a language dramatically, and people would find it very addictive, swearing at each other in obscure languages and so on. I offer this as my apology. I hope something is useful in it.
Please tell me how I got the deepl venereal disease, it's starting to get itchy and it burns a little... And the Macbook healthcare coverage expired. LOL!

geschrieben am vor 2 TagenIn the extension settings, there is a tab called "Hotkeys." There, you'll find an option to translate selected text by pressing "Ctrl" twice. That might save you some time. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Paolo, vor 2 Tagen

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon İlker, vor 4 TagenI really like the extension and it works great, but there is a major missing option in the settings. When I select text on a website with my mouse, I don't want the extension's logo to appear on my screen. There should be an option in the settings to hide this logo.

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon 18skeltor, vor 14 TagenAs far as I can tell, you can't see what language it is that you're translating. That's a make-or-break feature for translating apps for me.
I looked through the settings and couldn't see an option for this. If I missed it, let me know and I'll change my rating to 5 stars! - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon WRS13, vor 16 TagenIt would be great if the Android version were updated too; in the old version, only Google works. I don't want to take a risk with those suspicious copies of this extension.

- Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon phma, vor einem MonatI use the non-automatic page translation tool — That's to say if I need to translate a web page, I click [mylanguage] in the TWP toolbar button and the page is translated.
Is there a way to reset the page translation when the URL changes?
Example: To read an article on example.com, I click to translate the page. Then, after reading, I navigate to a different page (still on example.com), and the new page is automatically translated. I’d like the new page not to be automatically translated — I want it to reset in its original language.
I know this is a non-standard request, but would it be possible to have this choice via a checkbox in the settings?

Thanks for the reply!
I already had that option set to “No.”
I just tried again and realized I had misunderstood the "issue".
Actually, the site doesn't revert to its original language when I use the Back button (when I go back one page). I guess that's normal.
In the end, I have to refresh the page after using the Back button. That works for me.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Edit August 28:
Hello, I'm back with some additional information regarding my first question.
I was finally able to reproduce the problem:
On YouTube, I'm reading the comments (translated into French) under a video.
Then, I return to the YouTube homepage by clicking on the YouTube logo in the upper-left corner of the page.
When returned to the homepage, the translation is still active.
"Automatically translate when clicking on a link that takes you to the same domain as the current site" is disabled.
Thank you if reading this.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor einem MonatWhat you're asking for is the extension's default behavior. Depending on how the site is built, the behavior may be different.
Check if the option "Automatically translate when clicking on a link that takes you to the same domain as the current site" is disabled. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Virtpunk, vor einem MonatYes, it stopped working for me too. I completely forgot that I changed the translation service to Bing a long time ago. Now I changed it to Google, and it is the only one that works. And Yandex and Bing both do not work. If possible, please fix it.

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon CorgiButt, vor einem MonatNo longer working. I hope the dev fixes it because this is the best translate tool out there. Will change my rating if they do.
Every other translation extension opens new tabs or popups, this just directly translates onto the page, no need for refresh or anything.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor einem MonatTry restarting your browser. Which translation service are you using? - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 13140755, vor einem MonatIt no longer works since the last Firefox update (153.0.4).
I have tested all the translation tools available (Bing, Google, Yandex).
My preferred translation tool is Google.
Translating selected text works. Translating the entire page does not work.
The tool’s window says ‘Page translated into German’, but the page is not translated.Antwort des Entwicklers
