Been using this addon for a few years. Used to be an amazing addon. Past year or two it has gone drastically downhill. You can no longer just download videos. Even doing a "QUICK download" requires a third-party application. In order to do a simple download you must download a thrid-party EXE application. The addon downloads the video then you have to wait a few hours for it to fully convert and download. The nail in the coffit is the huge QR code they put in the top left corner of all videos downloaded. Who wants to watch a huge 2"X2" size QR code on their video. My monitor is only 21" wide. Uninstalling and going with a more reliable video download option.

    Dev removed contact info as a middle finger to users. It also DOES NOT WORK WITH YOUTUBE.

    I've been using VDH for years. Premium twice, because I like it so much.

    It gets 4 stars now (not 5) for two reasons:
    1)The developer has disabled the contact page on his site, and there's no way to reach him. This is a problem ...
    2)It's a very weird design decision to make me select download directory and file name (from Download As) *after* the download is complete. It causes the Save As system dialog to interrupt what I'm doing, routinely stealing keystrokes meant for another program and erasing the correct filename, wasting my time. Why can't I pre-select that stuff when I *start* the download, like the extension used to do?

    Works well, but I feel like the "privacy first" thing might be a bit misleading considering the permissions it needs.

    by far the best add-on for getting any kind of video from basically ANY website,- never had any troubles with it,- only when I forgot to update it but as long as you got the newest version you wont have any problems! ^^

    This plug-in has been amazing. I used to have the Google version until it was cancelled by them. VDH kindly switched my license to Firefox.
