Thank you, this report is what got it fixed, and your number was exactly right. On Firefox the live-stream delay captured every frame through a path that copies the picture back to the CPU, and on a 1080p60 Twitch stream that takes longer than a frame lasts, so only 10-13 distinct frames per second reached the screen. Version 1.4.2 keeps the frames on the GPU instead: on the same kind of stream it shows 53-60 frames per second in my testing, with the page back at a full 60 Hz. It was submitted to Mozilla today and goes live after their review. If it's still choppy for you after the update, I'd really like to hear about it.

Unfortunately, it reduces YouTube video quality, affects the frame rate, and makes playback very unstable and unwatchable for me. I appreciate the effort, but I also have privacy concerns. Permissions should be limited to YouTube and any other websites selected by the user, rather than allowing access to all websites.

RE: Still so many bugs after the update. Calibration is out of sync with YouTube, the privacy settings are incorrectly worded and force unnecessary permissions, and I spent an hour trying to sync it with no luck. It freezes, glitches, and is simply not usable. Sorry.

You were right, and thank you — this report is what got it fixed. It was a real bug on Firefox: regular videos were mistakenly routed through a frame-capture path built for live streams, costing about half the frame rate plus extra CPU, and the buffer-trimming that caused the quality drops made it worse. Version 1.3.0 (just submitted to Mozilla, rolling out after review) fixes both: on the affected videos playback is back to the full native frame rate with the player left untouched. Your privacy point is addressed too — LagSync no longer requests access to all websites, only a fixed list of known video sites, with anything else strictly opt-in per site. I'd be grateful if you gave 1.3.0 a try.

Finaly a addon that works perfectly
I had like 200 ish delay and it was annoying to se the mouth on people move different as the sound comes out lol
the fine tune made me fix it to the 5~10ish ms off witch is not noticable no more
