by WeedWhacker_69, 8 years agoVery good already, not yet 5 star material as the customization options are not deep enough and/or are as of yet unelegant/convoluted. Some very obvious stuff is not implemented at all.
Just a taste:
-There are several greetings according to the time of day (Good evening/night/morning/etc), yet neither the times at which they are displayed nor the messages themselves are customizable beyond adding your name.
-You can't assign pictures/collections to different times of day. (Sunrise pics for 'Good morning', etc.)
-One font to rule them all!
-No option to use your favourite sites' favicons. You have to use generic ones, can't even import your own.
-Favourites can't be added as clickable snapshots, arrangeable in a grid.
-Adding these favourites is a bit arduous.
-No 'Export Settings' feature.
And there's more that (at least to my mind) is lacking. But the extension is relatively new and does what it says for free = 4 stars.
Deeper customization options, a less rudimentary UI for said customization = 5 Stars.
UPDATE: Since there is no momentum on the dev's side (despite donations) to implement the very basics of QoL features asked for, stars have to be deducted. Half-baked shite with no future prospects.

- Rated 1 out of 5by LaPalona, 20 days agoThe most sleek and clean new-tab extension you can find. Sadly not maintained anymore, what is a dealbreaker for me. If you want to check out the extensions install TABLISS-NG instead. It's actively maintained and has new features not present in the original extension. Plus bugs have been solved :)
- Rated 4 out of 5by Michail, 21 days agoSuggestion for dark mode users using #000000 wallpapers
kindly consider making the settings gear icon of customizable color, it hurts eyes to see a full dark mode with white icon
It's a functional new tab page, featuring wallpaper addition, time and weather with customizable color and size and position. - Rated 5 out of 5by Leviii, 24 days ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by FoxFire, 2 months agoBefore discovering this extension, I had been searching for a customizable new tab extension that first of all would give users the ability to set their own favorite shortcuts. I had tried all or else almost every new tab extension but none of them met my requirements and expectations sufficiently enough. One extension called 'Fluent New Tab' came very close to all that I was seeking for, but besides missing the ability to set its extension as default Homepage, it also missed other desired things that I eventually found at Tabliss, even doing most similar things better.
My impression of Tabliss has exceeded my impression of 'Fluent New Tab' enormously, and therefore also earned my donation and this 5-star rating with positive feedback that followed wholeheartedly well-deserved.
The Tabliss extension is truly more awesome and has replaced my 'Fluent New Tab' extension to become my new default Homepage and New Tab page extension on my browser. - Rated 5 out of 5by not a knight, 2 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Neonate, 5 months agoAbsolutely beautiful modern interface. Very pleased with the different widgets. VERY surprised at how well the search feature works for backgrounds! It's great that I can save the background image to my computer, too! Excellent work, devs! You get a contribution for sure, and I've never done that before.

- Rated 2 out of 5by GravityPopsicle, 7 months agoWhile a great extension, it is now abandoned and outdated.
It's newer and more up to date fork TablissNG actually accomplishes all the features this extension promises unlike some of them being broken/defunct in this extension and also adding many new welcome additions.
While also offering major quality-of-life improvements like a dark mode, and the ability to customise widget position to anywhere on the page just to name a couple.
Please, give the "TablissNG" extension a try, simply export your preferences from this extension and import them into that one. It's that easy :3
