by Firefox user 13305560, 9 years agoSo far, I have not been disappointed with AdNauseam. It works fine, I don't visit many sites with much ads, but I have not had a problem with it, period. I don't get much ads, and overall, it's been a good rides.
After watching a youtube video though, when I got out of fullscreen, I was immediately pulled into an AdNauseam tab. Additionally, there was two AdNauseam icons on my add-ons, one unconfigured, the other showing an error, saying it had been deleted when I tried to click on it.
Very bizarre.
Error message is:
"File not found
Firefox can’t find the file at chrome:///content/menu.html.
Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
"
EDIT:
OS used: Windows 10
Browser: Firefox 55.0.3
I was watching a video on youtube, on fullscreen. Unfortunately, I can't link the specific video right now, I'm on mobile.
Thank you for the quick response!

posted 9 years agoThat is strange -- can you report the OS, browser, and AdNauseam versions you are using, as well as the page this happened on? Thanks!

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13248877, 4 months agoWorks extremely well on YouTube ads and similar things. Many other sites don't seem to be supported, though. Fragrantica, for example, is just a mess even with this installed. Blocking elements doesn't even matter because they reappear within seconds. I'd love to completely replace uBlock origin with this, but it seems like this has a lot of compatibility issues which uBlock doesn't have. Probably switching back soon.
EDIT: Ads also weren't being blocked at all on the Smithsonian site, which seems to use the same type of ad delivery as Fragrantica. I'd much rather have an adblocker which actually works. Messing with advertisers is awesome, but not at the cost of seeing ads on the internet again. Back to uBlock for me. - Rated 5 out of 5by TheLTrain, 4 months ago

I understand that the filters are for advertisements, but in order for me to disable ublock, it'll require being able to block non ad, cosmetic elements to filter out like ratings for movies/shows. I use ublock to block annoying things or spoilers, as I don't want other opinions to paint a picture before I see something for myself.
