"LanguageTool" forwards all of your text to third party servers (wasting data and adding latency) and does not show you errors until responses are received from those servers (huge lag)
Mobile Firefox removed its spellchecker because Android had a spellchecker, but Google removed Android's spellchecker because most browsers has spellcheckers.
LanguageTool is now the sole result for https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/search/?q=spell%20checker but our business does not allow apps that forward text to remote servers.
Now 4 stars due to responses about local servers

posted 3 years agoYour business can also run the LT server locally, as described at https://dev.languagetool.org/http-server. The latency for checking is usually <1 second, please report a bug in our forum at https://forum.languagetool.org/ if it's slower for you.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13902810, 2 days agoreally usefully, helpfull with spelling and easy to use. but now wants 20€ per month? yeah thats is a great offer i can recommend it.. thats a insane price for what it offers. for reference i can get Msoft 365 Premium for that price including 6 TB cloud. this just show how much great value you get. Used to be Free now it has value

I also don’t understand why they can’t offer a free, stripped-down basic version alongside a premium model. It’s a shame – you were good, but this is a rip-off.

Good luck anyway. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15958357, 7 days agoFunciona muy bien, se adapta al idioma con el que escribes, te sugiere hasta los signos de puntuación o sinónimos si has repetido una palabra en la frase, pero ahora es de pago y muy cara. Podían haber puesto gratis lo de la ortografía (ya que hay múltiples aplicaciones que lo hacen) y lo de mejorar los comentarios de pago por 1€ al mes.
